I saw a video recently of an Artificial intelligence selling to a consumer over the phone. There were a couple of things that seemed off. You could tell it was an AI but it didn’t announce it and something about the conversation felt bizarre.
I then came across this article from HBR https://lnkd.in/g8H6KS42
It captures the point well, there are some tasks that we are ready for AI to perform today, others will be alien and give a negative experience. A good way forward is to start with internal AI projects and then, on the back of successful AI projects, take those learnings to your consumer audience.
To paraphrase Jurassic Park ‘just because you could, doesn’t mean you should’.
The good news is there are evolving AI principles and AI ethics frameworks that companies can adopt to help them make decisions about when to use AI.
